This landscape painting captures Bray Head in Wicklow on a breezy, sunny day. I’ve visited this iconic location multiple times to paint, as the headland’s unique shape provides a stimulating challenge for plein air artists. The Bray seafront is an ever-changing environment where light and weather dramatically alter the scene in mere minutes, making it endlessly fascinating for me. Working here I always meet great characters along the beach, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
I also have a larger version of this bray head scene, which conveys a more ominous feeling due to the heavier sky on that day. The shifting light transforms the landscape, turning earthy browns into darker hues, which is one of the many reasons I love working here; it’s a place of constant change and inspiration.

Artwork Details
I use artist grade materials for all my work to guarantee colour vibrancy over time. All paintings are varnished to protect the work using a satin varnish which results in a semi gloss finish.
Original paintings come framed unless otherwise stated.
