One of a series painted in the area of Lough Dan, this piece was painted plein-air on site in the Luggala estate on the track that leads you through the estate to the lake itself. A larger canvas for a plein-air painting this was an all day session with studio work to finalise the piece. Its a beautiful area and this walk is exceptional, I tried to capture the feeling of solitude you can get in this area.
The Luggala estate named for the mountain, used to be owned by the Guinness family and is well worth a visit, thankfully access to the public for walking still exists today.

Artwork Details
I use artist grade materials for all my work to guarantee colour vibrancy over time. All paintings are varnished to protect the work using a satin varnish which results in a semi gloss finish.
