This painting captures the dramatic cliff faces along the Spinc route (also known as the White route) in Glendalough. As you traverse the high boardwalk, you encounter a bend that reveals a stunning cliff face, showcasing the impressive height and unique geography of the Spinc.

Created on location in windy conditions, this breathtaking spot is a favourite for hikers who often pause to admire the view. It's as close as I dare venture while painting, as I have a healthy fear of heights!

In the distance, you can see the lake edge where the White route eventually loops around. Many hikers prefer to start their journey from the Poulanass Waterfall end, but this vantage point offers a captivating perspective of the landscape.
