One of my favourite locations for painting is the Scalp in Dublin, a captivating valley shaped by glacial activity during the last Ice Age. This remarkable area features steep sides adorned with massive, tumbled boulders that appear to hang precariously over the road below. The unique rock formations and sweeping views of the surrounding farmland continually draw me back to this inspiring spot.

In this painting, you see the breathtaking view from the top of the Scalp, looking towards Enniskerry. This iconic perspective is well-known to those who hike in the area, with the road gracefully sweeping below. While it can be challenging to set up my easel in this windy spot, the stunning scenery makes every effort worthwhile.

I use artist grade materials for all my work to guarantee colour vibrancy over time. All paintings are varnished to protect the work using a satin varnish which results in a semi gloss finish.

Original paintings come framed unless otherwise stated.
