Painted on location in Inchavore Valley beside Lough Dan over a number of sessions in the Winter, with very cold conditions but beautiful Winter light. This is the area of the valley floor with the river Inchavore running through on its way to empty into the lough. This impressive rock face is part of the slopes of Knocknacloghoge mountain as it rises out of the valley floor.

Painting here is a hugely meditative experience surrounded by this very ancient landscape and rockfaces. You can achieve real peace and solitude here and painting this over a number of sessions allowed this place to soak into me. I've painted here a number of times and this landscape will always pull me back, it's a stunning place.

Artwork Details

I use artist grade materials for all my work to guarantee colour vibrancy over time. All paintings are varnished to protect the work using a satin varnish which results in a semi gloss finish.

Original paintings come framed unless otherwise stated.
